The idea for Atelier Mamselle has been playing in my mind for a couple of years and in June 2018 I finally decided to take the jump! I design and create baby toys and accessories in my atelier at home. My one-year-old daughter is the inspiration it all - all my designs are made with her in mind, which she also tests. Once I am happy with the playfulness, quality, safety and aesthetics, I start producing.
I have a sketchbook with all my ideas. Idea generation actually takes up a lot of time as my first sketches are not always the ones that get developed. The chosen sketches are then brought to life in Photoshop or Illustrator, after which test patterns are printed, sewn together and refined until the interplay of colour and shape is perfect.
The combination of different colours and fabrics is what makes my creations stand out and unique.
