I design and create unique children's clothing and accessories. It was an unexpected direction for me to take, but creating for adults seems so boring!
My products are made primarily from leftover fabric from the textile industry (that would otherwise go to waste), vintage materials and natural fibers. I love to create from scratch using my hands and always have. As a child I wanted to be a ceramist or painter so the creative spirit was inside me from a young age.
Having my own fashion label has been a lifelong dream and with ADADORE I have been able to fulfill it. My background is in the fashion industry so I know the ropes very well. Everything I create is handmade and the whole process is a joy for me, from design, to selecting the fabrics to making the finished product.
I find inspiration in my own memories and I get the best ideas just before I fall asleep at night.
I hope to continue doing what I am doing so that more children can enjoy my creations!
When do you consider your creations as being successful?
When someone tells me they wish they had a child to buy it for!
How can one easily recognise your work?
Eclecticism, playfullness and enthusiasm are the main values that characterize both the brand and the designer.
If you were not doing what you are doing now, what would you be doing?
Realistically I would make a good chef. But honestly, I would love to be a rapper (if only I could sing).
Tell us something that typifies you but that we do not already know...
The name ADADORE comes from the combination between my second name and a song from the Smashing Pumpkins
